This 11 day culture and wildlife tour departs from Delhi. Travel from Delhi to the famous Pink City of Jaipur to experience the rich culture and architecture that is unique to Jaipur. Following the delights of Jaipur, take the overnight A/C sleeper train to Bandhavgarh, one of India’s most famous and popular tiger reserves. Following your time in the national park, take the overnight A/C sleeper train to Agra to visit the magnificent Taj Mahal and the famous Agra Fort, both situated on the banks of the Yamuna River.

Jaipur is a reservoir of the architectural wonders that embrace the rich legacy of India. It is also known as the Pink City and is the capital of the Rajasthan State. There are many forts and monuments in Jaipur that are worth seeing. In the heart of Jaipur, lies the magnificent City Palace. The sight of the amazing Hawa Mahal is a strong favourite amongst tourist wishing to see the wonders of Indian architecture. The Amber Fort is located in Jaipur. This Fort is stunning, all constructed in white marble and red sandstone. To add to its allure, the Maotha Lake creates its foreground. The crystal mirror image of the Fort, on the still waters of the lake, seem to be a beautiful illusion and provides a unique photographic opportunity.
Bandhavgarh National Park is one of India’s most exciting tiger reserves. Bandhavgarh is very well known for its wonderfully rich wildlife, boasting a beautiful range of diverse habitats. As well as being one of India’s top tiger reserves, Bandhavgarh is also extremely popular with bird watchers, as it has superb raptor possibilities. It is also excellent for the Sloth Bear and Leopard.
Agra famous for the magnificent Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. The Taj Mahal is an exquisite masterpiece in white marble. Built in 1648 by the famous Shah Jahan who was the fifth Mughal Emperor of India, in memory of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal. Both the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort lie in close proximity to each other on the banks of the Yamuna River.
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met and collected from the airport by our representative and transferred by taxi to your hotel.
Transfer from hotel to train station in good time to board the Ala Hazrat Express train (2nd class air-conditioned) to Jaipur departing at 1140 hours and arriving in Jaipur at 1735 hours. Arrive Jaipur and transfer to your hotel, rest of the day at leisure
Before breakfast, take an elephant ride around the beautiful Amber Fort (subject to availability). Return to hotel and have breakfast. In the afternoon ,visit Nahargarh Fort and street markets.
General sightseeing and/or visit the street markets for shopping. Visit the City Palace, Observatory, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Wind), Jal Mahal (Water Palace), from the outside and then walk the street marketsfor some souvenir shopping or browsing.
The train is due to reach Katni at 07:05 hours. From here you will be transferred to Bandhavgarh. Upon arrival, breakfast at your lodge. Expect the drive to take around 3 ½ hours. Check in to the Nature Heritage Resort. N.B. We will be unable to obtain a refund for services/safari drive not taken due to train/road delays or ill health)

After your morning jeep safari, drive (3 ½ hours) to Katni Railway Station in good time to board the Mahakaushal Express train (2nd class air-conditioned sleeper) departing at 19:25 hours for Agra.
The train is due to arrive in Agra at 08:10 hours. After breakfast, you’ll have time to explore the impressive Red Fort and the magnificent Taj Mahal. Depending on the time you have available, you may wish to visit the Baby Taj as well, but the entrance fee for this is excluded from the price.
After breakfast, drive to the Chambal River (approx 1 hr 15) for a 3 hour boat ride on the Chambal River, to look for the globally rare Gangetic River Dolphin and the highly endangered Gharial Crocodile. This is also an excellent site for Mugger Crocodiles, Indian Skimmers, River Terns and Sarus Cranes, as well as many other water birds. Return to Agra for lunch and afternoon will be at your leisure for shopping or relaxing. On return to Agra, afternoon will be at leisure for shopping or relaxing.
Transfer from Agra to Delhi in A/C vehicle. Approx 5 hours. Transfer to International Airport in good time to check in for an evening flight.
